Padina of Iran - Isa Al-Masih Saved Me From Suicide

Padina and her mother wanted to commit suicide because they didn't feel peace in their life.

This is the story of Iranian Muslim women finding salvation in Isa Al-Masih. Her name is Padina, who has a fundamentalist Islamic background. She lives alone with her mother who is sickly. Since she was four years old, she has been devoted to her religion.

Every day Padina wakes up at two in the morning to pray. After praying, she worked cleaning the walls of her school. When she mispronounced a word during the Koran, she would repeat it from the beginning. Padina was also diligent in studying the Koran for hours, until late at night.

Attempted Suicide Due to Depression

Padina grew up to be a fanatic Muslim woman. But one day she said,  “I have never felt peace. I cried for hours facing Allah. But I felt distant from him. "

It made her feel depressed and desperate. Not feeling the presence of Allah, her mother was seriously ill, making Padina depressed until she wanted to commit suicide.

To kill themselves, Padina and her mother intended to take sleeping pills and inhale kitchen gas. As Padina started to open the gas, she gasped at the sound on the television. A pastor was speaking on an illegal Christian satellite program outside Iran.

The pastor said,  “Why do you want to kill yourself tonight? Our God is very powerful. He can change your life. Give Jesus one week!"

Receive Isa Al-Masih as Savior

Hearing the pastor's words, Padina intended to embarrass the Lord Jesus by pretending to invite Jesus for a week of her life. By doing so, she would show that Christianity is a false religion. Then she will commit suicide in the program and humiliate the God of the unbelievers.

Then Padina prayed for safety with the pastor. Suddenly her body became very hot. "The second time I said 'amen,' I felt a peace that I had never felt before,"  said Padina.

Experiencing Miracles and Being Healed

The next morning, Padina was surprised when she saw her mother. She was very ill but can now get up and walk. When Padina took her to the hospital for a checkup, the doctor saw normal blood and a good MRI. The doctor said, “Mother is cured. This is a miracle!"

“Yes, the miracle of Isa Al-Masih. I've prayed to Him,"  said Padina. That was when Padina felt she had received the true faith. She promised Jesus to serve Him until the end of her life.

Padina as an Iranian Muslim woman finds salvation in Isa a gift. Today, Padina has a new life. She is a leader in the Iranian underground church network. Her days are spent telling Jesus Al-Masih to anyone who will hear her.
